If you speak Danish

It's all good.
Informations-arkitektur - fra navigation til søgning

Just a quick translation for everyone else:

On most websites someone has been thinking about IA in the making process, and chosen which buttons and which navigational options will be available on the frontpage. But if you are to believe one of IAs international celebs, the buttons are more or less loosing their functionality.

Instead we use smart search functions, that - when they work as intentionws - let us jump right into precisely where we want to be, and where the information we are looking for is hiding.

Navigation is therefore "just" another element in your presentation, the titles on the buttons is a part of what you would like to represent.

That is, if you ask the american information architect Christina Wodtke, and Harddisken (name of the radio programme) has met her.

The extra-fine print
wording stolen by the more-eloquent-than-I kottke
The bold, italics, and link buttons (and associated shortcut keys) only work in IE 5+ on the PC.
