The hierarchy isn't entirely apparant due to the way they've squeezed it into the space.

What might be better is if on mousing over a lower level item the sitemap would highlight (using a lighter colour) the corresponding higher items.

Of course your limited to available screen size, site maps like this were popular at the very beginning of the web, they faded out due to the large demand on screen real estate for any site that had any depth over 3 levels or somewhere around 25-30 pages.
