I wonder if he made it just to prove that he was mortal...sort of like the way Roman generals would have a slave ride with them in the chariot during a triumph. The slave would repeat "You're mortal, you're mortal" in the general's ear while the crowds shouted their acclaim.

I suppose one could say it's the only bad movie he's starred in....
